Odessa's Maiden Voyage Finished

We are happy to say that we were able to finish our maiden voyage with Odessa last weekend, May 20th-22nd.  We returned to Lake McSwain.  We had a beautiful lakeside campsite, outstanding weather and perfect camp neighbors.  It was just peaceful and relaxing laying back in our camp chairs and watch the world go by.  To view the video, click on the link below:

Odessa's Maiden Voyage

We took Odessa to Lake McSwain for her maiden voyage.  When we arrived it was 92 degrees.  We first had her parked where the pick-up is in this photo, but the way the ground sloped, the stabilizers wouldn't reach, so we had to hook her back up and reposition her.  Once we got her in place and unhitched, we noticed that we had her parked right next to a hiking path.  There really wasn't much foot traffic and what there was, everyone was very friendly.  We settled in and began our R&R!  We had a nice evening meal and retired early...only to have a restless night as Gayle had severe shoulder pain.  We ended up in Urgent Care the next morning and when we returned, packed up and headed home for her to recover from "frozen shoulder" or at least that was what she was first diagnosed as having.  To see the video, click on the YouTube link below:

Powder Coated Rims

Cliff had 3 rims powder coated and he is getting tires on two of them...this 3rd one is next.  He plans to buy baby moons for the caps.

All the windows are installed!

Isn't Odessa shaping up?  She is really lookin' perrrrrrdy!  Cliff has done a phenomenal job in rebuilding her.  He has the plumbing to hook up, wiring for the breaks, propane tanks to install, hook up the wiring to the converter, some wood trim, new tires, cabinet doors and the outside door yet to go.  I also have the curtains to make.  We are getting closer!!!

More Updates

Cliff has the table and counters done along with the stove and sink installed.  We had the seat cushions made with marine vinyl.  The mattress is in place only because right now we have no room in our home to store it.  Also, Cliff has installed one side of siding.  We are reusing the siding and will paint it once all if it is installed.  Our decor?  Retro 50s/60s?  Your guess is as good as mine!
