FLOOR FRAMING BEGINS

Now the building begins and I don't want to get in the way, so let me hide behind one of our redwoods and watch...

No, maybe if I hide behind the side of the garage I can get a better look and still be out of the way...

Actually, if I get next to the service truck I will be able to have a better angle...

Oh well, I'm just going to get in the way!!

Oh look at our pretty grass...it's so beautiful and...so flowy...just look at it!!  It just sways with motion like ocean waves, and it can be very mesmerizing.  You aught a come over and watch it with me sometime...Oh yeah, this is the "trailer" blog...

Sheesh!  You have to be a contortionist to do this work!

When I was on the college vaulting team (gymnastics on horseback), we called this "The Flag!"  You don't believe I was on the vaulting team...gymnastics on horseback?  Let me go get a photo and prove it!!!  Okay, I can't find the photos of me...I looked and looked.  I really wanted you to see me in my leotards and skirt.  Honest, I was on a team and our horse's name was Poky!  Really!!
Okay, so I couldn't find my photos, so I borrowed one from the net.  This is what vaulting is all about.  I know you thought I was pulling your leg, didn't you?!  I don't  spoof, people.  I tell the truth!!  When I find those photos, I'll prove it to you.  Oh...yeah...back to the trailer!
Here is what the floor frame is shaping up to be.

Oh...my honey bunny is getting tired...

Goodness, Clifford, get some sleep!!

Productive Day

With a productive day, Cliff pretty much finished the painting on the metal frame and installed the new axle, leaf springs, brakes, drums and hubs.

Skid Strips Applied

After Cliff applied the strips on the step, he put a primer on (skids are taped).  He didn't paint first as the strips would adhere better on the raw metal.

Goin' to the Shop!

Cliff begins to load what's left of her!
...loading made easy by a tilt trailer...

..."comealong" is used to pull her in place...

...Uh oh...got her up, but can't get the tilt trailer to come back down, because the tail-end was too heavy past center...

Here she sits until...

...our neighbor, Slim, gives Cliff a hand (next two photos taken from kitchen window)...

...success, so time to shoot the breeze a bit...

...while placing the tongue in a secure place, the wheel drops to the ground (oops)...

...tethering "My Precious" down...

Just before Cliff was set to leave and take Roadmaster to the shop for a weekend makeover, a sidewalk supervisor comes to offer, well, what sidewalk supervisors offer best, advice (photo taken from kitchen window)!
